Recent economic results are encouraging, with consolidated growth of 2.7% in 2024, after 2% growth in 2023. Inflation has also decreased, from 5.6% in 2023 to 4.4% in average annual terms in 2024. Public finances have also improved, testifying to the effectiveness of the monetary policies implemented by the bank.In particular, the BEAC has managed to maintain a delicate balance between economic growth and price stability, while strengthening the resilience of the zone to external shocks. This distinction is therefore a recognition of the BEAC's constant commitment to financial stability and economic development in CEMAC. This honorary distinction is also a testament to the recognition of the crucial role played by the Bank of Central African States in promoting economic and monetary integration in Central Africa.
