This honorary distinction was revealed in a recent correspondence from Dr. Ngeto Tiraïna Yambaye, Vice-Grand Chancellor of the Orders of the African Guarantee and Economic Cooperation Fund, addressed to the Governor of the Bank of Central African States. This recognition highlights the BEAC's commitment to economic cooperation and regional integration in Central Africa. This distinction highlights the BEAC's constant commitment to financial stability and economic development in the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC). Recent economic results are encouraging, with consolidated growth of 2.7% in 2024, after 2% growth in 2023. Inflation has also decreased, from 5.6% in 2023 to 4.4% in average annual terms in 2024. Public finances have also improved, testifying to the effectiveness of the monetary policies implemented by the bank.In particular, the BEAC has managed to maintain a delicate balance between economic growth and price stability, while strengthening the resilience of the zone to external shocks.
