This transformation is in perfect coherence with the strategic vision of the Group, aiming to establish itself on the African market by relying on a unique and strong brand, identifying all the subsidiaries of the banking group. This name change aligns with the global strategy of harmonizing the nomenclature of all subsidiaries of the group founded by Ivorian businessman Bernard Kone Dossongui, with the goal of accelerating the modernization of banking services and improving customer experience through digitalization and innovation.  This transformation goes beyond a simple name change and is accompanied by an increased commitment to social responsibility. "The arrival of this new identity is also an opportunity to strengthen our commitment to local communities, through impactful initiatives carried out by our Foundation, such as the ongoing construction of a pediatric unit in the Ntui region. We still have so many projects to deploy together for Cameroon," declared Léon Konan Koffi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AFG Holding. This strategic positioning is illustrated by the bank's interventions in major national projects. In addition to its support for the private sector, AFG Bank Cameroun claims the status of a key partner of the State in financing development. "Today, we are the bank of the State. We have financed strategic projects under the Three-Year Emergency Plan to the tune of 190 billion FCFA, fully repaid by the State of Cameroon .We are a bank firmly committed alongside the private sector, but also the State of Cameroon. This is what sets us apart from other banks," emphasized Eric Valery Zoa, the Managing Director of AFG Bank Cameroun.Present on the Cameroonian market since 2008, AFG Bank Cameroun has experienced significant expansion over the years. From its beginnings with 8 agencies and 2 cash points, the bank now has a network of 23 agencies covering the 10 regions of the country. It has established itself as a leading banking player, notably thanks to its expertise in corporate financing and its diversified offer adapted to the needs of individuals and professionals. The bank's financial performance confirms this dynamic. In 2024, AFG Bank Cameroun crossed the threshold of 1,300 billion FCFA in total assets for the first time, reaching 1,327 billion FCFA, a 22% increase compared to 2023. Its loan portfolio, valued at 538.2 billion FCFA as of June 30, 2024, increased by 24% in six months, representing more than 100 billion FCFA in new loans. With a 9.60% market share during the period under review, it is now positioned as the third-largest lender in Cameroon, behind Afriland First Bank (22.84%) and Société Générale (13.76%)
