Launched almost 4 years ago, Yango has successfully gained popularity among Cameroonians. Currently, the platform boasts over 150,000 active monthly users. Although its operations were suspended in February 2023 by the Transport Minister due to a licensing problem, Yango resumed its services seven months later, after the suspension was lifted. The platform reaffirmed its ambitions for Cameroon, which it considers a "country with high potential". Yango, which operates in 20 countries across Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, aspires to become an "unavoidable reference" in Cameroon, offering services that bring real added value and improve the daily lives of city dwellers, in a context marked by often insufficient public transportation. Yango has opened a new chapter in its history in Cameroon by launching its activities on March 5, 2025, in Bafoussam. This expansion reflects the company's desire to offer technological solutions for efficient and affordable transportation across the Cameroonian market.
