As for Ghana, it's not a time for euphoria either. Authorities have revised downward production forecasts from 700 000 to 650000 tons. Observers believe that the evolution of weather conditions in the coming months will allow for a clearer picture of the current campaign.Climate concerns are back with heavy rains that fell between September and November damaging crops in the western and southwestern regions of Ivory Coast .On November 29, 2024, the International Cocoa Organization (ICCO) published the latest edition of its quarterly bulletin on cocoa statistics. The brown gold deficit is now estimated at 478,000 tonnes for the 2023/2024 crop year.
