The project's strong emphasis on High Labor Intensity (HIMO) has enabled the employment of local workers, particularly for tasks such as ditch digging on the Awae-Esse and Esse-Soa sections. Additionally, curb-laying workshops for water drainage on embankments are underway. The progress of the work has garnered significant satisfaction from local residents, with the project now blasting a completion rate of approximately 70%. The current progress by CFHEC team marks a significant step towards the completion of the Awae-Esse-Soa road, with the treatment of the initial sections underway. The expected impacts include the creation of 800 jobs (including 150 for women) supported by the project, improved access to sustainable urban transport with a target value of 430,000 people by 2035, reduced travel time, and an increase in pedestrian walkways by 19,000 m². The project is financed by a significant amount, with the contract for the construction of the 82 km road valued at over 35 billion CFA francs
