Road Modernization : 1.7 km of Subgrade Already Laid in the Heart of Bamenda
Dernière mise à jours il y'a 6 heuresThe construction site for the Bamenda urban crossing is experiencing a significant acceleration. Driven by recent directives from the Client demanding a densification of interventions, the company BUN’S has reorganized its teams on the ground. To date, the project boasts a physical execution rate of 15.64%, a progression fueled by the multiplication of work fronts and an increased mobilization of logistical resources.

On a technical level, the platform works are marking important milestones with the implementation of the subgrade over a distance of 1.70 km. Simultaneously, the clearing of the right-of-way—a crucial step for the liberation of the alignment—now extends over 4.3 km of the total linear distance, while general earthworks already cover 4.2 km. This operational dynamic allows for a clearer structuring of the communication route within a dense urban environment.
The hydraulic component, essential for the durability of the structure, is receiving particular attention. Of the 20 engineering structures provided for in the specifications, 5 are entirely completed and 6 others are currently under construction. Drainage is not being overlooked; the prefabrication of equipment is accelerating, with more than 3,000 linear meters of gutters already produced, nearly 2,000 meters of which have been positioned. This rigorous management of rainwater evacuation is a guarantee of quality for the future infrastructure.
The intensification of services observed in recent days responds to the authorities' desire to deliver an infrastructure that meets quality standards in the shortest possible time. For the winning bidder, the challenge now lies in maintaining this pace to transform these initial indicators into a structural success. The modernization of this vital artery for Bamenda constitutes a lever for streamlining traffic and an engine for local economic development.
