Railway safety : CAMRAIL Claims An Investment Of Over CFA 471 Million In 2024.

The figure was announced at the 7th Railway Safety Day event held on December 5, 2024, in Douala.

Safety is a top priority in creating a dependable and sustainable transportation network. To this end, CAMRAIL has put in place a security action plan for the current year.According to the national railway network operator, a budget of 471  million CFA francs was dedicated in 2024 to improving safety on Cameroon's railway. Within this envelope, 95 million CFA francs were allocated for weeding along the railway line. Additionally, 24.5 million CFA francs were oriented towards clearing, while 252 million CFA francs were invested in station. The 7th Railway Safety Day celebration 

themed "Railway Safety, Community Involvement for Sustainable Transport",

gave CAMRAIL the opportunity to  reassure its customers about the comfort and security that the Cameroonian national railway company offers to the population.
