Proparco and I&P : A financing program for agricultural start-ups and SMEs in Cameroon

This program aims to support and accelerate the growth of agricultural start-ups and SMEs in six African countries, including Cameroon.
In Cameroon, the I&P Acceleration Farm program will be deployed by Fako Capital, an impact investment fund dedicated to high-growth potential start-ups and SMEs in Cameroon and Central Africa, founded by Cameroonian Vivian Tchatchueng, a former I&P executive. Specifically, according to the program's objectives, which are set to be completed by 2029, beneficiaries will receive financial support ranging from 6.5 to 65 million FCFA, repayable over a period of 36 months.it is learned that the beneficiaries will also be entitled to internal technical assistance missions by the consortium's teams in charge of implementing the program, and external assistance on specific issues (accounting, marketing, technology, law, climate change adaptation). Eligible are SMEs and start-ups operating in the agricultural value chain (primary agriculture, processing, livestock, aquaculture) and offering services related to the agricultural sector (agritech) , emphasize the program's promoters
