Recall that the President of the Republic, Paul Biya, signed on an ordinance modifying certain provisions of the initial finance law for the 2025 fiscal year, increasing the national budget to 7,735.9 billion CFA francs up from 7,317.7 billion CFA francs previously, representing an increase of 418.2 billion CFA francs .This ordinance complements the law promulgated on December 23 last year, reflecting a reorientation of economic and financial priorities during the year. In 2024, the Head of State had signed an ordinance on June 20, which increased the budget from 6,679.5 billion to 7,212.5 billion CFA francs representing an increase of 533 billion CFA francs . According to the Economic and Budgetary Programming Document for 2026-2028 presented to Parliament on July 1, the revised envelope is divided between 7,669 billion CFA francs allocated to the general state budget and 66.9 billion CFA francs earmarked for Special Allocation Accounts, with the amount remaining unchanged
