The agreement was signed on August 8,2025 ,during a ceremony presided over by the Minister of Water and Energy, Gaston Eloundou Essomba, in the presence of executives from the Spanish company.This agreement marks a significant step towards improving the country's infrastructure and promoting sustainable energy solutions. The project will not only enhance road safety but also contribute to the country's renewable energy goals. This initiative underscores the Cameroonian government's determination to ensure energy access for the population across all 10 regions of the country.The availability of street lights in theses regions solar power will enable small businesses to operate more efficiently. With a reliable source of electricity, businesses can extend their operating hours and increase productivity. This will contribute to economic growth and improved livelihoods for many Cameroonians.
