COMMUNITY PROJECT FUNDING : AfDB Opens Line of Credit in 2026

This is the main resolution from the tripartite meeting between the Special Equipment and Intercommunal Intervention Fund (FEICOM), United Cities and Towns of Cameroon (CVUC), and the African Development Bank (AfDB)

This resolution was discussed at the 4th International Conference on Financing Development which took place in Spain from June 30 to July 3, 2025.The line of credit, ranging from 50 to 100 million euros in favor of FEICOM, aims to fund projects led by local authorities, particularly in taxation, climate change mitigation, urban development, and production. Discussions will continue on the modalities for opening this funding window. During the meeting, the three structures( FEICOM, CVUC and AFDB ),  represented by Phillipe Camille Akoa, Director General of FEICOM, Augustin Tamba, National President of CVUC and Stefan Atchia, Division Manager for Finance, Urban Planning, and Project Preparation at AfDB, reviewed AfDB's portfolio on multilateral financial cooperation in Cameroon, eligibility of municipalities for the Urban and Municipal Fund , tax reform in Cameroon, programs implemented by FEICOM with AfDB funding, accreditation of FEICOM to the Adaptation Fund for Climate Change, and establishment of a Climate Window at FEICOM
