Waste Management : Red Plast Sarl obtains state facilities to build a recycling unit in Douala

As part of its project to build a solid waste recycling and recovery unit in Douala, the Cameroonian company Red Plast Sarl will benefit from certain tax and customs exemptions for a period of 5 to 10 years, in accordance with the provisions of the 2013 law on incentives for private investment in Cameroon

An agreement was signed to this effect on February 17, 2025 in Yaoundé, between the general managers of this company and the Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency.The project that Red Plast Sarl is preparing to launch is estimated at just over 1.3 billion FCFA. It is expected to create 166 additional jobs, in addition to the 25 existing ones, according to the company's officials.Based in the Cameroonian economic capital, Red Plast Sarl has been operating for years in the collection, removal, recycling and recovery of plastic waste. The company transforms this waste into finished products such as pavers, intended for floor coverings. The project underway is expected to boost the company's production capacity
