Cameroon Palm oil company has dished out on August 1st,2024 an annual dividend of cfa 1.8billion to its shareholders listed on the Central African Stock Exchange, according to the note, each shareholder has received an amount of 2314 fcfa.
This dividend represent an increase of 20% compared to the year 2022 whereby the firm distributed CFA 1.5billion that is approximately 2002,50 fcfa to each shareholders . It is recalled that, a few months ago the subsidiary of the group socfin had decided to distribute its entire annual profit up 12% year-on -year . With regards to socapalm no details have been provided regarding the dividends paid to non-residents shareholders. This distribution according to Socapalm authorities, reflect the performances of the firm in 2023 .In addition to the increase of the net profit, the end of year revenue has equally increased ,a factor that can be attributed to the increase in prices of the sale of crude palm oil despite a reduction in production which according to the National institute of statistics is due to the poor level of manufacturing machines and the low production of Palm seeds.
