Dernière mise à jours il y'a 7 moisUnder the theme Agriculture and agri-food at the heart of the national import-substitution policy , The 9th edition of the Yaounde International Agriculture and Agri-Food Show (Sialy) was officially launched on June 25, 2025, by the interim Minister of Mines, Industry, and Technological Development, Fuh Calistus Gentry.

The Sialy 2025 aimed at to highlighting the importance of agriculture and agri-food in Cameroon's economic development and promote local products as part of the country's import-substitution policy, a priority for the Cameroonian government that will contribute at reasonable reducing the high amount of money the government spend annually ( approximately more than 15 billion) to import products that can be produced locally. Presented as one of the largest sub-regional meeting point for the agri-industrial sector , Sialy claims to have attracted around 1.7 million local and international visitors and over 3,000 exhibitors since its launch in 2010.
Agriculture is one of the largest employers in Cameroon, it employs more than 70 % of the population and contribute at more than 80% at the country's Gross Domestic Products, and agricultural products such as Cocoa, plantain are Cameroonians agricultural products most exported, this sector has to be developed for it to maintain its positive contribution to the country's socio-economic development.
This 9th edition,according to its promoters, the event aimed at ensuring better visibility of government actions in the agriculture and agri-food industry sector,promote the strengthening of material, technical, and financial capacities of operators in the agri-food industry sector, promote inventions and know-how in agriculture and processing,develop commercial relationships between Cameroonian and foreign actors in the agricultural and agri-food industry sector.
