Nigerian industrialist decision to establish this production unit in Ivory coast is strategic as it reinforces the group's vision of regional self-sufficiency in cement by significantly reducing imports across West Africa. The plant aims to significantly reduce cement imports in West Africa. Already present in 10 countries, including a grinding plant in Cameroon with th a production level of 51.6 million tons per year, making it the largest cement producer in sub-Saharan Africa.Dangote Cameroon sales rise to 1.4 million tons in 2024, with a 2.7% year-on-year increase despite challenges such as currency fluctuations, inflationary pressures, and rising fuel costs. In 2024, Dangote Cement achieved a record profit of N503.2 billion, representing a 10.5% increase from the previous year.
