During 2024, Cameroon collected 100.2 billion FCFA in humanitarian aid, representing 45% of the required assistance. This aid was evaluated in the 2024 Humanitarian Response Plan by the UN at approximately 224 billion FCFA. The unmet needs amount to over 123 billion FCFA. This assessment, contained in a recent report by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), also reveals that for 2025, Cameroon will require 221 billion FCFA to address its humanitarian needs. However, to date, only 12 billion FCFA have been received, accounting for 6% of the total required. The report also mentions that Cameroon received an additional 16 billion FCFA in 2024 outside the Humanitarian Response Plan. The main donors to Cameroon include the European Commission's humanitarian aid department (ECHO), the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France
