At the outset of the year, the priorities for 2025 lie in strengthening incubation offerings to enhance the professionalization of entrepreneurship.It will also involve reducing the constraints that small and medium-sized enterprises and artisans face in accessing their ressources. There will be a focus on emphasizing existing mechanisms that are not being sufficiently utilized, but which meet the needs of the ministry's target audience in terms of funding and financing.SMEs play a significant role in wealth creation and poverty reduction.  The sector employs over thirty percent (30%) of the population, particularly women and young people.  In terms of sectoral distribution, 0.1% of SMEs are in the primary sector, 20.3% in the secondary sector, and 79.5% in the tertiary sector. Together, these structures generated approximately 137847 jobs in 2023, accounting for over 90% of the labor force coming from SMEs. 

For the year 2025, the Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises aims to boost job creation and vocational training to combat youth unemployment and contribute to the country's socio-economic development.
