The Director General of CAMWATER, Dr. Blaise Moussa, chaired a workshop on the company's commercial situation and revenue on August 8, 2025. The meeting brought together key officials and union representatives. In his opening remarks, Dr. Blaise Moussa emphasized the importance of an "aggressive commercial policy that prioritizes quality service to the population and urged collaborators to enhance current performance and tackle commercial challenges .The key challenges highlighted include:Professionalization of commercial management, ensuring timely connections and providing adequate support to subscribers.,addressing fraud that sometimes involves company agents and ackling the substantial debt owed by customers, amounting to several billion CFA francs.To address these challenges, concrete actions were announced at the end of the workshop. A diagnostic study will be conducted to develop a new commercial and marketing strategy, define modern procedures, and implement tools to improve the company's financial performance. The Director General took this opportunity to highlight the significant investments made by the government and CAMWATER to improve access to drinking water. Between 2022 and 2025, the water production capacity increased from 858,190 to 1,179,858 cubic meters per day (m³/day). The distribution network was also expanded, growing from 7,837 km to 8,127.495 km. These investments demonstrate the company's commitment to providing better services and improving access to clean water for the population
