This presidential authorization follows the approval by the Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group of the loan granted to Cameroon in 2023 to finance the first phase of the project to support the recovery of the electricity sector in Cameroon, facing major challenges ,including low transmission and distribution efficiency, and insufficient manpower. This financing will work to improve the production, distribution, and governance of the national energy sector, emphasize human resource development through training, and minimize commercial losses.
