In the energy sector, Electricity Development Corporation plays a key role in the production and distribution of electricity in Cameroon, and this investment is expected to strengthen its market positioning.In details: Electricity Development Corporation will invest over 37 billion CFA francs in project management and investments in 2025. This financial envelope will prioritize structural initiatives, including the full commissioning of the lom pangar plant,with a capacity of 30 megawatts, a flagship project to strengthen energy supply and feasibility studies for the Mbakuwa hydroelectric development, aiming to further exploit the country's hydroelectric potential.This investment is part of the strategy to modernize and expand energy infrastructure, thereby contributing to reducing the national energy deficit.A financial envelope of 30,5 billion CFA francs will be dedicated to operational and financial expenses. This sum will be used for several purposes, including:Repayment of loans:the company will repay the loans contracted to finance its activities. Operating expenses:the costs related to the daily management of the company will be covered.Infrastructure improvement:funds will be allocated for the construction of dams, reservoirs, and the acquisition of new equipment.Performance enhancement: The goal is to improve the performance of existing infrastructure for better efficiency.
