Globally, only three of the 12 customs sectors have achieved the objectives assigned to them. These include the South II sector (2nd national contributor in 2024), which collected 32 billion CFA francs out of 25.2 billion CFA francs expected, exceeding its target by nearly 7 billion CFA francs with a realization rate of 126.9%. The Centre achieved 137% of its objectives with 650.8 million collected, and the North collected 628.8 million CFA francs with a collection rate of 100.7%.

On the other hand, three of the four main providers of customs revenue in Cameroon last year made a timid start. This is the case for Littoral I, which collected 56.3 billion CFA francs, representing 95.1% of its target. Littoral 2, for its part, mobilized 4.2 billion CFA francs out of the 4.4 billion forecast. As for the South-West sector, the 4th largest contributor to customs revenue in 2024, it only collected 859.3 million CFA francs, compared to forecasts of 4.1 billion CFA francs, for a realization rate of 20.9%.  Cameroon is counting on customs revenue of 1,144 billion CFA francs in 2025. If this objective is achieved, customs revenue will have increased by 88.1 billion CFA francs in absolute value and by 8.3% in relative value compared to the 1,055.9 billion CFA francs mobilized in 2024. In just one month, Cameroon has already achieved 8.33% of its annual target.This goal is part of a broader strategy aimed at strengthening customs revenue mobilization, with a target collection of 1,427.8 billion CFA francs by 2027.
