The funds made available to the country will be used for the bitumen works of the 49.5-kilometer Kyabé-Mayo section. This section is an integral part of the Kyabé-Singako road. The works also include the construction of a 55-meter bridge. This is under the supervision of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Land Development and Road Maintenance as the Project Manager. The construction of this road section has numerous benefits. "The construction of the road section will contribute to reducing the generalized costs of transportation in the Moyen-Chari region [...] and improving the living conditions of the populations through easier access to health and educational facilities, as well as the main consumption centers of the country," declared Claude N'Kodia, the interim Resident Representative of the Bank in Chad.Once built, it will enable the development of the southern and eastern regions of Chad, reduce vulnerability, and strengthen the resilience of the target populations, especially women and young people. It will also facilitate the flow of agricultural and agro-pastoral productions from the rich areas of Moyen Chari and Salamat to the consumption centers of Sarh, Moundou, N'Djamena, or Abéché. For the Chadian government, the completion of this road is a boon for this locality, whose economy is based on agriculture and livestock (for over 80% of the population). The region [of Moyen Chari] comprising Kyabé, Singako, and Am Timan, is an area with high economic potential. It is the first agricultural basin in Chad, a major livestock area, rich in fish resources, which supplies fish to a large part of the south of the country, and even external markets," declared Tahir Nguilin.According to the evaluation report of this project carried out by the banking institution in November 2024, it is learned that the works are scheduled to start in 2025 and be completed in December 2029. Note that this is the last section to be developed on the N'Djamena-Moundou-Sarh-Kyabé-Am Timan-Abéché corridor
