This growth is mainly attributed to the strong performance of the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC) and the Compagnie de Développement de Banane de Mondoni (CDBM).This upward trend confirms CDC's activity recovery after over two years of halt due to the security crisis in the Northwest and Southwest regions with only 2 years of operation in the sector,CDBM exported 1,685 tons of bananas, a significant increase of 704 tons. This growth has given CDBM a market share of 10.25%. In contrast, Boh Plantations experienced modest growth, with an 85 tons increase over the year. Meanwhile, Plantations du Haut Penja saw a decline in exports, dropping 1,021 tons to 10,208 tons in July 2025.Cameroon's banana production, primarily from the Littoral and Southwest regions, is mainly destined for the European Union. In 2024, dessert banana and plantain exports generated 36.6 billion FCFA, up from 31.4 billion in 2023
