AFRICA50: In Charge Of The $200 Million Fund For The African Solar Facility Of ISA.

The pan-African infrastructure investor and asset manager (Africa 50)will now manage and implement the $200 million fund for the African Solar Facility.

Following a contract signed on December 5, 2024, with the International Solar Alliance(ISA) during the Africa Investment Forum Market Day in Morocco.This agreement demonstrates Africa50s commitment to contributing to the achievement of Africa's transition goals.The African Solar Facility, launched by the International Solar Alliance, aims to provide tailored and affordable financing solutions to mobilize investments for distributed renewable energy projects in Africa.The distributed renewable energy sector in Africa still lacks sufficient investment, partly due to the perceived high risk. Thanks to Africa50s expertise, the African Solar Facility will be able to mobilize more investments and unlock the full potential of this sector.
