According to the Ministry of Public Works (Mintp), a total amount of 6,937,080,488 FCFA was transferred, sourced from delegated credits, the Road Fund, and the Public Investment Budget (BIP). In details, The municipality of Pouma is the main beneficiary with over 3.44 billion FCFA. Edéa 2 received over 1.19 billion FCFA, while Edéa 1st received over 953 million FCFA. Other municipalities that benefited include Ngwei (737 million FCFA), Ngambe (533 million FCFA), Massok (1.07 billion FCFA), Ndom (463 million FCFA), Nyanon (363 million FCFA), Dizangué (135 million FCFA), Mouanko (806 million FCFA), and Dibamba (540 million FCFA). The department, located in the Littoral region, currently has several ongoing projects. Among them is the surfacing of certain roads in the Edéa I district with a superficial coating. Although work is progressing on the ground, some difficulties are noted, such as heavy rainfall, which negatively impacts the progress of the work. The total cost of these projects is estimated at 445,924,887 FCFA inclusive of tax. In addition to the municipalities, the Littoral Regional Council also received a special allocation of 200 million FCFA in 2023 for the maintenance of the 4km Ndoukokol-Songloulou road section, which is strategic for access to the Massok-Songloulou dam. It's worth recalling that the amounts transferred so far by the Ministry of Public Works (Mintp) are deemed insufficient by the mayors, who are requesting more. According to them, the current resources do not allow for an effective response to the challenges of isolation faced by the local councils. The annual 65 million FCFA is no longer enough, more is needed
