The investments made are the result of active cooperation with international financial institutions, namely the African Development Bank (AfDB), the World Bank, and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).The Cameroonian government has established partnerships with several international organizations, including the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the French Development Agency (AFD), the European Union (EU), and the Central African States Development Bank (BDEAC). These partnerships have enabled the implementation of several projects and programs, particularly in the North-West and Far-North regions. In the troubled North-West region, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi indicates that construction is ongoing on several projects, including the 18 km Matazem-Welcome to Bamenda road section and the 4.93 km Bamenda bypass road.Particular emphasis is placed on improving communal bitumen roads, notably with the completion of 30 km of roads on the 52 km Babadjou-Bamenda road, which connects the West and North-West regions. Additionally, work is underway on the construction of the Kumbo-Nkambe-Misaje sections, including the Nkambe bypass road.In the Far North region, rehabilitation efforts are focused on several key roads, including the Maroua-Moutourwa (36 km), Magada-Guidiguis (68.30 km), and Guidiguis-Yagoua (68.70 km) sections. Other projects involve the construction of the Bogo-Guirvidig road (32.86 km), as well as the upgrade of road networks in Bogo (5 km) and Maroua (6.2 km), the Guirvidig-Pouss road (30.86 km), and the Maga (2 km) and Guirvidig (2 km) road networks. Furthermore, the reconstruction of the Mora-Tchakamari road (22 km) is currently underway. The minister also announced that the reconstruction work on the Tchakamari-Dabanga-Kousseri and Ngaoundéré-Garoua roads will begin before the end of the first half of 2025. About 500 km of roads are being built in the Far North, and in six or seven months, the region's road network will undergo a significant transformation," Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi said .The Far North region has a total of around 22,000 km of roads, but only a small fraction - less than 600 km - are national roads, while the majority are regional and communal roads, according to the Ministry of Public Works
