This renewal is the result of a close collaboration between the East Regional Council and the hospital. The regional council has allocated a budget of 100 million to strengthen the hospital's equipment. These funds will be used to acquire modern medical equipment, including a radiology machine, new beds, and a cutting-edge ultrasound machine. Unlike in the past, when the Ministry of Public Health provided all the equipment, the regional council has taken the reins to modernize the hospital's management. This new approach has put an end to the sale of expired medications and medication trafficking. The Moloundou hospital can now offer quality services to the population, thanks to a competent medical team and modern equipment. The supply of drinking water is also ensured for all services and patients. Although significant progress has been made, there are still challenges to be overcome to ensure the sustainability of this renewal. The regional council and the hospital must continue to work together to maintain the expected quality and safety standards. The East Regional Council deserves congratulations for its efforts to improve public health in Moloundou. This initiative is a concrete example of how local authorities can have a positive impact on citizens' lives. This initiative by the East Regional Council is in line with the policy of the National Development Strategy 2030 (SND30) for the well-being of populations and the development of decentralized local authorities (CTD) in Cameroon
