The Cameroon pavilion proudly displays high-quality processed products, such as cocoa, coffee, and cosmetics, highlighting the country's desire to diversify its exports and shift from raw materials to value-added products.
Cameroon's presence at the IATF illustrates its economic diversification strategy. Companies like Agrifood and Beverage are showcasing Cameroonian expertise in the processing of agricultural products to visitors. The goal is to forge new partnerships to distribute "Made in Cameroon" across the continent and beyond.
This ambition is legitimized by a recent success. In July 2024, the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNCC) carried out Cameroon's first export under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) regime, sending nearly 99.4 tons of aluminum ingots to Algeria. This operation, which followed discussions initiated during the IATF 2023, demonstrates the concrete potential of the fair as a platform for continental trade.
While Cameroon has a tradition of producing cocoa and coffee, the valorization of these sectors remains a major challenge. Participation in the IATF is a decisive step to help companies overcome logistical and commercial obstacles and position themselves in a rapidly expanding African market.
Afreximbank, which co-organizes the event, presents the fair as an essential platform to "explore opportunities and exchange information." Cameroonian exhibitors hope that their presence in Algiers will allow them to replicate the success of the aluminum export and secure agreements that will open up new prospects for Cameroonian products.

Actually, now that I try out the links on my message, above, none of them take me to the secure site. Only my shortcut on my desktop, which I created years ago.
