With 94.8% of the contractual timeframe consumed out of the 51 months initially planned, the structure is moving toward imminent delivery, confirming the mobilization of technical teams at this neuralgic entry point of the port city.

The lot dedicated to the roadway, managed by the subcontractor MAG, shows notable advances, particularly with the total finalization of drainage systems (gutters) in both directions of traffic. On the segment connecting the ARI roundabout to social housing (3.1 km), earthworks and paving operations are taking definite shape. Simultaneously, the ARI – Yatchika Public School axis is undergoing an aesthetic and structural transformation with the laying of interlocking paving stones, reaching an execution rate of 40%, representing nearly one kilometer of already operational roadway.

The full completion of these works is projected before the end of the first half of 2026. Such a deadline is crucial for decongesting Douala’s eastern access, a true logistical lung connecting the port to regional transit corridors. For the remainder of the 2026 fiscal year, attention will turn toward finishing touches and final signaling, which are indispensable for guaranteeing user safety on this high-traffic route. If the current pace is maintained, the Eastern Entrance will establish itself as a showcase of the country’s infrastructural modernization, durably facilitating trade toward the continent's interior.
