Infrastructure . Bogo–Pouss Road Project Surpasses 40% Completion Rate
Dernière mise à jours il y'a 2 joursThe road construction project linking Bogo to Pouss, in the Far North region, is entering a phase of visible progress. According to the latest monitoring data, the overall execution rate stands at 40.54%. To date, a 15.20 km section between Bogo and Guirvidig has already been covered with asphalt concrete, providing a first smooth traffic zone for users of this strategic axis.

On the second segment connecting Guirvidig to Pouss—a 30.86 km stretch under the responsibility of Xinjiang Communications Construction Group—physical progress is also nearing 40%. Although cash flow constraints are impacting the pace of operations, technical deployment continues, particularly through the installation of engineering structures. Teams are currently focusing on foundations, which have reached a completion rate of nearly 10%, as well as earthworks and backfilling operations.
The project is now tackling critical civil engineering stages. While earthworks advance, the start of high-resistance concrete (B30) pouring for piles and bridge decks is expected to consolidate the structures. These interventions will be coupled with sonic logging tests, which are essential to guarantee the stability and durability of foundations in the Sahelian zone, where soils can present specific geotechnical challenges.
The completion of this road represents a major development lever for the local economy. By facilitating the transport of agro-pastoral products to urban centers and border markets, the infrastructure aims to reduce logistical costs and durably open up an area with high potential. For the authorities, the immediate challenge remains the streamlining of financial flows to maintain the momentum of the work and meet delivery deadlines.

Actually, now that I try out the links on my message, above, none of them take me to the secure site. Only my shortcut on my desktop, which I created years ago.
